Glossary
Use these terms consistently. Prefer team over workspace or project for the organizational unit.
The organizational unit that owns resources, members, and billing. Resources cannot move between teams. A team cannot be deleted.
personal team
Section titled “personal team”The team created for you at signup. It is exclusive to a single user. Membership cannot be changed and invitations are disabled.
collaborative team
Section titled “collaborative team”Any team that is not a personal team. Owners can invite members by email.
A member with administrative privileges: team settings, invitations, role changes, status pages, and (if billing admin) billing.
member
Section titled “member”A participant on a team who can work with resources according to product permissions but cannot manage team membership or status-page configuration.
billing admin
Section titled “billing admin”The single owner on a team who is financially responsible for that team. Manages checkout, addons, the Paddle portal, credits, and transfer of the billing admin role.
resource
Section titled “resource”Anything manageable under a team, such as a cron job, monitor, assertion, incident, or status page.
paused resource
Section titled “paused resource”A resource held above current entitlement. It keeps configuration and history, does not run, and still occupies a slot. Distinct from user-disabled and from abuse suspension.
A quantity-based recurring purchase that extends one resource type’s capacity without changing the base plan. Available on Free, Starter, and Standard.
credit
Section titled “credit”Team-scoped balance stored in USD cents. Credits do not expire and cannot move between teams. The billing admin can exchange them into a one-time checkout discount. Credits are not cash.
assertion
Section titled “assertion”A team-scoped evaluation linked to a monitor. Assertion runs are healthy or failure and, with hysteresis, open or close an incident.
incident
Section titled “incident”A team-scoped disruption record, reported by monitoring or by a member. Incidents are not deletable. Status comes from the latest response. Only published incidents can appear on a status page.
